Integrations

You can now install our dedicated Events widget for Wix, Squarespace and WordPress to let your fans know when you're performing next and get tickets without leaving your site.

WIX

1. Add Element

Click on Add, represented by the + sign on the left of your website editor page.

2. Install Bandsintown App

Click on the Music tab and scroll down to Related Apps. Locate the Bandsintown app and click on Add to Site to add the Events widget to your website. You can also add the app to your site here.

3. Set up app

Click on the Settings button on the newly added Bandsintown app. Click on Connect Account and enter the artist name. Customize the display and click on Design to edit the widget's design.


Squarespace

1. Add Content block

Click on Add Block , represented by the + sign on the top right of your website editor page.

2. Install Bandsintown App

Scroll down to More and click on the Bandsintown logo to add the Events widget to your website. Read here for more information.


WORDPRESS

In order to use the Bandsintown Events widget, you must have a widgetized sidebar enabled in your WordPress theme before continuing. Your site must also be hosted on www.wordpress.org, and not on www.wordpress.com.

1. Download & install

First, you need to download and install the WordPress desktop app. Then, click on the button below to download and unzip the Bandsintown widget:

Move the unzipped folder named bandsintown to the wp-content/plugin directory on your computer.

2. Activate

Click on the Plugins tab from your WordPress admin. Find the Tour Dates plugin and click on Activate.

3. Edit

Go to the Settings tab and click on Tour Dates to enter the Artist for which you want to display tour dates.

4. Post on Page or add to sidebar

To display tour dates in a blog post or page, go to the post editor and add the shortcode [bandsintown_events] where you want the widget to appear. When you are done, click on Publish; the tour dates list should now be embedded in the post.

To add the widget to the sidebar, go to the Appearance tab and click on Widgets. Drag the Tour Dates widget to the sidebar you'd like it to appear in. Expand the widget and customize the Title, Artist Name and Display Limit. When you are done, click on Save.

Advanced usage

You can also customize your Events widget further by following the instructions below.

Template tag:

Advanced users may way to integrate the plugin directly into their theme's template files. To do this, simply insert the template tag the_bandsintown_events() into the PHP source code of your template. The tour dates list will then be rendered in its place.

Custom CSS:

The tour dates will be styled to match your wordpress theme. If you want to further customize the widget, you can add custom CSS to override any of the defaults. In the Bandsintown plugin settings, the default CSS being used in the plugin is displayed along with a Custom CSS text box allowing you to add any of your own CSS styles.

Additional:

The shortcode and template tags support optional parameters to customize the look and feel of the tour dates. The artist can also be controlled this way if you want to display listings for an alternate artist.
